Professor Hoque receives NSF CAREER award
Congratulations to Ehsan Hoque, who has just received a CAREER (Faculty Early Career Development) award from the National Science Foundation. These are NSF’s “most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.”
Ehsan Hoque, assistant professor of computer science and the Asaro-Biggar (’92) Family Fellow in Data Science, will explore developing a virtual assistant to help groups conduct meetings by providing live and post-meeting feedback to help participants stay on topic, take part equally, and listen closely to one another while also generating analytics about the process.
